IVF Cost at Bio ART Fertility Centre, Parktown, South Africa
I have had a great reply to my letter requesting the IVF cost, IVF success rate and IVF procedure from Bio ART Fertility Centre, Parktown, South Africa.

Here is the reply I received:
Thank you for the e-mail.
Over the years we have built a very big International Client/patient base,
especially with patients from other African Countries and it is our pleasure
to assist you.
Basically, when dealing with International patients, we understand that
travel is costly and we often like to plan treatment so as to make their
stay an economical one.
There are two possible scenarios which we can look at:
1.. Firstly, if all investigations have been done on the couple, the
reason for infertility well established and the patient is financially
prepared for treatment, then we can arrange it in such a way that the
patient consults with us once, treatment is planned and we start treatment
immediately. Treatment usually begins on the 21st day of the menstrual cycle
so the first consult will be just a few days before then. They will then
stay in South Africa for about one month to complete the treatment.
2.. Secondly, if the cause of infertility is still to be determined, we
will consult with the patients, do all necessary investigations and
procedures and if possible to start treatment we can do so. Alternatively
the patient can return home and come back when they are ready for treatment
to commence.
3.. We will be able to arrange documentation for visa applications as well
letters of leave for employment purposes.
4.. We can provide you with accommodation options at independent
establishments if this is required.
The cost of treatment will depend on the treatment prescribed.
The initial consultation at our centre is R 900.00. blood test is about R 2 000.00 and a spermiogram R600.00 )

please can you tell me what is the current 2011 costs for IVF … currently i am a diabetic getting sugar control and my husband has to have a extraction of sperm after test revealed there are low to no spermcount..
