In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Success Rates in New Orleans

http://www.fertilityinstitute.com – The success rate of in vitro fertilization, or IVF, is a highly debated topic. At the Fertility Institute of New Orleans, Louisiana, we believe that IVF is a success when it results in the healthy birth of a baby to a couple that was previously considered infertile. We are happy to say that our success rates continue to climb for couples of all ages, but particularly for women under the age of 35. Intrauterine insemination is another fertility procedure that has helped couples conceive. In this procedure, the “washed” sperm are injected directly into the uterus of the woman the day after an egg is released. The idea behind this procedure is that the sperm swim into the fallopian tubes to fertilize the egg.

According to data provided by the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine for the same period of time, men with abnormal sperm who underwent ICSI had success rates similar to men with normal semen analysis. The fertilization rate was approximately 63% to 71% for ICSI and IVF pregnancy rate / transfer was 42.5% for ICSI and 44.6% for IVF, and the implantation rate was 22 % to 19% for ICSI and IVF.

Using IVF increases your chances of actually conceiving. If you are having difficulty getting pregnant for whatever reason, you will find that IVF will greatly improve your likelihood of conceiving. If you suffer from endometriosis, infertility, or damaged or blocked fallopian tubes, using IVF will greatly increase the chance that you will actually be able to get pregnant. Men who have infertility problems, a low sperm count, poor quality of sperm, or compromised motility, will find that IVF ensures that they are able to impregnate their partner.
