IVF Cost at Dr Erfanian IVF Clinic, Iran
Below is the response that I received to my letter about the IVF cost, IVF success rate and IVF process at Dr. Erfanian IVF Clinic in Iran. A quick response – received the morning after I emailed the letter to them.
The response is very brief and, at the time of writing this, there is no information on the website, which can be found at http://drerfanianivfclinic.wordpress.com/ but Dr Erfanian did answer nine of my sixteen questions directly, which were:
- What is the current success rate for your clinic? (preferably by age as I know that the success rate will be much lower for somebody of my age)
- How many cycles do you perform per year at the clinic?
- What is the maximum age that you treat?
- Are there any fertility conditions that you will not treat?
- What is your embryo transfer policy? How many embryos will you replace at one time?
- What is the basic cost of the IVF treatment?
- What additional costs would / could be incurred?
- What happens to the costs if the cycle has to be abandoned?
- How long would I need to be in Iran for?
Here is the response I received:

as you wrote it is a long list resemble to an inspection any way
1-current success rate =35-40 %
2- cycles = 700 – 800 per year
3- 48

5- two routinley
6- 2000 US$ for one IVF cycle, not including anything else.
A complete ART cycle with egg donation cost 10000$ . it include all IVF/ICSI expences , multiple gynecologist visit ,multiple sonoraphy, laboratory tests for you and donor , hospital expences , all drugs and medication and donor fee and also accomodation.
7- laboratory test , hysterosalpingogram and additional probable necessory tests
8- it should be repeat because most of cost is related to medications
9- at least one month

i’m 30 years old and my wife is 27 years old we have been trying for a baby for 5 years but no luck and we did once ivf but no luck . the doctors said that my wife developing a lots of eggs but most of them is weak so the day of egg collection they collected 27 eggs but 4 of them fertilisit and when they trasfered just 2 of them left and they wear very very weak so that is why it didn’t work

I have been diagnosed with PCOS and after two failed IUI procedures we will be attempting an IVF procedure. We have made up our mind to have the procedure done here in the USA and are well informed of the costs. My question for you is regarding IVF drugs. Can my family obtain the drugs and send them to me? Where are they provided? Does red-cross provide them and does everyone have access to them? Are they made in Iran or are they imported?
